形貌分析形貌分析topographyanalysis对固体物质形状起伏特征的显微分析方法。通常指表面形貌分析。形貌分析的结果以人眼能直接辨认的图像形式显示,当分析的分辨本领达到原子水平时,可以观察到原子排列状态,这时显微结构分析与化学结构分析相衔接。形貌分析普遍应用的主要工具是电子显微镜,其中主要是扫描电子显微镜(SEM),还有透射电子显微镜(TEM)的部分功能。这类仪器是利用电子束作为探针,与被分析样品发生相互作用,作用后的电子携带着样品形貌特征的信息,电子显微镜使这些信息以放大图像的形式显示。20世纪80年代以后发展的扫描隧道显微镜(STM)是利用量子隧道效应来描绘样品的表面形貌,具有原子级的分辨率,可以进行原子水平的表面微观结构分析。形貌分析在材料科学、生物医学、物理、化学及微电子等领域得到广泛应用。
