超酸溶剂体系超酸溶剂体系在水溶液中所有的强酸(如hno3 ,h2so4 ,hso3f,hcio4)与水完全反应生成h3o+,酸强度被拉平。然而,在一些酸性非水溶剂中拉平作用不会发生,酸强度可达到水溶液中的1010或更多倍。在稀的硫酸水溶液中,酸性可根据ph测量:ph=-lg[h3o+]=-lg[h+] (4-12)但是随着硫酸浓度的增加,[h3o+]的值达到极限,即使溶液的酸性继续增加。因此还需要提出其他的衡量酸度的函数,曾经出过好几种,最早提出的也是最成功的一个是l.p.hammett的h0酸度函数。这个函数规定的酸度是对于一种特殊种类的指示剂[例如苦酰胺(no2)3c6h2nh2]所观察到的指示剂共轭酸形式和共轭碱形式的浓度比,该指示剂的碱形式b不带电荷,它在酸中的形式为bh+,溶液中存在以下平衡:h++b=bh+假定共轭酸bh+ 的电离常数k bh+是已知的,那么一个溶液的酸度h0 可按下式定义:h0 = k bh+在稀释溶液中,这种新的酸度h0和ph是相同的。然而再浓溶液种,如图4-17所显示的,随着水含量的减少,酸强度显著增加,对于无水硫酸和氢氟酸h0值分别约为-12和-11(即酸强度为它们1mol*l-1水溶液的1012 和1011倍。)通常把-h0值大于12的体系称为超酸体系。由图4-18数据可看到h2so4-hb(hso4)4,h2so4-so3(或h2so4-h2sno3n+1),h2so4-hso3f和h2so4-hso3cl都是超酸。虽然氟磺酸再浓硫酸中是弱酸,但随着浓度的增加,h0值迅速增加,直到hso3f为100%时其值达-15。1。如上节所述,再hso3f中进入强的路易斯酸(sbf5,so3,asf5)会显著地增加酸性。图4-19显示出这些路易斯酸对酸函数的影响。从图中可以看到当sbf5*so3在hso3f中增加到摩尔分数为7%的浓度时,h0达到最大值为-19.3。在超酸溶液中可进行下面两类重要反应:1 许多很的碱如乙胺,乙酸,碳酸,烷烃,芳香化合物和生化试剂在超酸溶液中可发生质子化反应。例如在无水硫酸中反应:(c6h5)3coh—2h2so4—>(c6h5)3c+ +h3o+ +2hso4-在hso3f-sbf5-so3体系中,(ch3)3coh也可通过质子化反应生成碳离子(ch3)3c+。2 在超酸介质中最感兴趣的新的研究课题是对卤素 卤间化合物和硫的正离子的研究。显然,这些离子有强的氧化性和酸性,需要一个非碱性非还原性的溶剂作为介质,因此,选择超酸作溶剂是合适的。例如元素碘可与65%的发烟硫酸或s2o6f2的氟磺酸溶液反应生成蓝色的i2 +离子。在sbf5-3so3-hso3f溶液中,元素溴形成br2 +离子。元素硫溶解在无水硫酸中时,依次被氧化成s16 2+(淡橙黄色),s8 2+(蓝色)和s4 2+(黄色)离子,s2o6f2-hso3f体系中只形成前面两个物种,绿色的se8 2+和橙色的se4 2+离子也可以用类似的方法得到。
