北京大学遥感与地理信息系统研究所北京大学遥感与地理信息系统研究所Institute of Remote Sensing and GIS, Peking University beiiing daxue yaogan yu dili xinxi xitong yoniiusuo北京大学遥感与地理信息系统研究所(InstituteofRemote Sensing and GIS，Beijing Universitr)是在1卯5年北京大学地质地理系的遥感研究组的基础上发展起来的。于1983年经国家教委批准，成立了北京大学遥感技术应用研究所，到1994年又正式改为现名。又名国家遥感中心技术培训部。 该所的中心任务是培养中、高级遥感和地理信息系统方面的人才，开展应用基础理论与技术研究，承担国家和生产部门的重大任务。在国家“六五”、“七五”等科技攻关期间，承担了一些重大攻关项目，如“山西省农业资源遥感调查”，“内蒙古自治区草场资源的遥感调查”，“全国土壤侵蚀调查”及“河南省冬小麦遥感估产”等，作出了重要贡献，获得了国家科技进步奖和部委奖。另外在国际合作方面，如与马来西亚国家遥感中心，蒙古国家遥感中心等协作方面，均取得重大的成绩。 该所在遥感信息处理，遥感信息模型、地理信息理论、地理信息模型及地理信息系统软件开发等方面，力量较强，具有特色。今后研究将以多种信息集成机理及技术研究，在网络环境下的、不同部门的、分布式的多媒体地理信息系统和地理信息科学作为重点。(承继成)
