湿球温度  空气的一个重要状态参数,与空气的湿度和温度有关,可用湿球温度计测得。当少量的水或十分潮湿的物料置于空气流中时,只要空气的相对湿度低于100%,水分就会汽化,并吸收热量(汽化潜热),使余下的水或潮湿物料温度下降。因此,空气与水或潮湿物料之间出现了温度差,于是空气中的热量以对流传热的方式向水或潮湿物料传递。当由空气流传至水的热量等于水分汽化所吸收的热量时,水或潮湿物料的温度将维持不变,此温度即为空气的湿球温度。    测量湿球温度所用的湿球温度计,是在普通温度计的感温球外,裹以湿纱布构成的。为保持湿纱布充分润湿,纱布的下端浸入水中。用普通温度计测得的温度,为与湿球温度相区别,称为干球温度。当相对湿度等于100%时,湿球温度等于干球温度;相对湿度愈小,湿球温度比干球温度低得愈多。    在空气的增湿、减湿和物料的干燥操作中,湿球温度是经常使用的参数。在对流干燥的恒速干燥阶段,它是潮湿物料的表面温度,也是热水在凉水塔中降温的下限。    对于空气-水系统,湿球温度在数值上与绝热饱和温度几乎相等,然而两者的物理意义不同。对于其他系统来说,两者数值是不相等的。
