锂辉石分子式:LiAl[SiO3]2CAS号:性质:锂矿的主要矿物组分之一,含氧化锂8.04%。单斜晶系,晶体常呈柱状、粒状或板状。呈灰白、灰绿、翠绿、紫色或黄色等。玻璃光泽。硬度6.5~7。密度3.03~3.22g/cm3。不溶于酸晶体在加热或被紫外线照射时会改变颜色,在阳光作用下也会失去光泽。焙烧至1000℃左右时迅速转变为β型锂辉石,并具热裂性质。是富锂花岗伟晶岩的特征产物。因含杂质而带有其他色调,如含微量的铬,呈翠绿色;含微量锰,呈紫色。条痕白色。性脆,柱面解理完全或中等。断口参差状。产于花岗伟晶岩中,有时可形成粗大晶体。色彩鲜艳且透明的锂辉石(翠绿锂辉石、紫锂辉石)可作宝石材料。是目前锂化学制品的主要矿物原料。可望成为给人类长期供给能源的重要燃料。产于美国、巴西等地。
