大洋声道大洋声道soundchannelintheocean声波在水下某深度传播时，传播距离剧增，甚至可比常规传播距离大几百倍的水层。这种现象是第二次世界大战期间美国人W.M.尤因和J.沃泽尔，苏联科学家拉津贝格等先后在大西洋和太平洋利用水下爆炸进行水声实验时发现的。称这种水层为声道，是因为声波在其中传播时能耗极小因而可把其载波信息清晰地传送到很远地方；因这种声道常在大洋或深海区中出现，故称大洋声道。声道轴是声道中声速达极小值的水层。若声源位于声道轴附近，则所辐射的大部分声波的能量集中在从海面至与海面声速相同的平面之间的厚水层中，这个水层称为水下声道。其声道轴的深度一般为900～1300米，但热带某些海域的声道轴可深达2000米，温带海域可上升至200～500米深处，两极地区海域的声道轴在海面附近。有的海区的声道轴处于深60～100米处，这种声道称为表面声道。低频的声波在声道中传播得最远。
