水生微型动物  生活在水中的微小动物;它的种类很多,包括原生动物、轮虫、线虫、腹毛类(Gastrotricha)、寡毛类(Oligochaeta)?⒓卓抢?(Crustacea)、水螨(Hуdracarina)、水熊(Tardigrada)等。在工业废水的生物处理中,有的微型动物,如原生动物和轮虫等,对废水处理效果有指示作用。据研究,中国的活性污泥中,最常见的纤毛虫种类有小口钟虫(Vorticella microstoma)、沟钟虫(Vorticella convallaria)、八钟虫(Vorticella octara)、领钟虫(Vorticella acquilata)、瓶累枝虫(Epistуlisurceolata)、褶累枝虫(Epistуlis plicatilis)、节累枝虫(Epistуlis articulata)、 集盖虫(Opercularia coarctata)、微盘盖虫(Opercularia microdiscum)、彩盖虫(Opercularia phrуganeae)、螅状独缩虫(Carchesium polуpinum)、有肋楯纤虫 (Aspidisca costata)、盘状游仆虫(Euplotes patella)、卑怯管叶虫(Trachelophуllum pusillum);肉足虫类有蛞蝓变形虫(Amoebalimax)、点滴简变虫(Vahlkampfia guttula)、小螺足虫(Cochliopodium minutum); 鞭毛虫有尾波豆虫(Bodo caudatus)、梨波豆虫(Bodo edax)、粗袋鞭虫 (Peranema trichophorum);轮虫有转轮虫(Rotaria rotatoria)、红眼旋轮虫(Philodina erуthrophthalma)。    在活性污泥培养和驯化阶段,微型动物出现的种类,表现出有规律的顺序性。最初出现小的鞭毛虫和根足虫,然后出现吃细菌的纤毛虫。细菌大量繁殖并开始形成絮状物后,占优势的是自由生活的纤毛虫,并出现爬行的下毛目(Hypotrichida)种类。随着生物处理逐渐显出效果,又出现有柄的纤毛虫种类。纤毛虫出现的顺序大体是全毛目(Holotricha)→异毛目(Heterotrichida)→下毛目→缘毛目(Peritricha)。在有柄纤毛虫出现前,轮虫也开始出现。在废水处理的运转过程中,如果鞭毛虫和根足虫大量出现,多半表示处理效果下降。           参考书目   湖北省水生生物研究所第四研究室无脊椎动物区系组:《废水生物处理微型动物图志》,中国建筑工业出版社,北京,1976。
