血红素结合蛋白血红素结合蛋白(hemopexin,hpx)分子量5.7万,单链多肽,含糖量约22%。正常血浆中含量为500-1000μg/l,和游离血红素有特异结合能力。它可配合结合珠蛋白对血红蛋白进行处理。当广泛溶血时,血浆结合珠蛋白耗竭,循环中游离的血红蛋白可降解为珠蛋白和血红素两部分。血红素不溶于水,可与hpx结合成复合物而运输到肝,分子中的铁可被机体重新利用,卟啉环降解为胆红素而由胆管排出。hpx并不能与血红蛋白结合,仅可与血红素可逆地结合,而在血循环中反复利用,这是机体有效地保存铁的又一种方式,而避免血红蛋白和血红素从肾排出体外。
