姬鼠姬鼠Apodemus;woodmice啮齿目鼠科姬鼠属的通称。外形似小家鼠,但体型较大,形细长,体长6~12.5厘米;上门齿内侧无缺刻;尾较长,但不能卷曲,多数种尾覆毛稀疏,鳞环清晰可见;面部狭长;耳壳较大,前翻接近或超过眼。背部毛色灰黄、灰褐或红褐色。黑线姬鼠背部中央有1条黑线。约13种,是古北界特有种。遍及欧、亚及北非。中国有6种。栖息于森林、草原、农田、住宅及绿洲。喜湿润。在倒木、树根、枯枝落叶下、田埂、墙角等处筑巢。夜间活动。以植物性食物为主,亦吃昆虫。有的种冬季迁入房舍,天暖迁到野外。在中国北方4~9月繁殖,在南方冬季也可繁殖,每年繁殖2~3次,每胎产3~11仔。姬鼠盗食种子,对农作物和林木直播都有害,又是出血热、钩端螺旋体、森林脑炎等的传播者。
