黎锦熙黎锦熙（1890～1978）中国语言文字学家。字劭西。1890年2月2日生于湖南湘潭，卒于1978年3月27日。1911年毕业于湖南优级师范史地部之后，开始从事教育工作。1915年应教育部之聘，到北京任教科书特约编纂员。1920年开始在高等学校任教，曾任北京高等师范学校、北京女子师范大学、北京大学、燕京大学国文系教授。1948年任北京师范大学文学院院长兼国文系主任，并兼任中国大辞典编纂处总主任。1949年，与吴玉章、马叙伦等组织中国文字改革协会，任理事会副主席。1955年被聘为中国科学院哲学社会科学部委员。黎锦熙从事语文教学和科学研究近70年，研讨的领域涉及语言文字的各个方面，有论文300多篇，专著30余部，影响较大的有3个方面。推广普通话和改革汉字，语法研究和语言教学，辞典编纂。1918年，与人共同呈请公布注音字母，同年11月教育部正式公布推行。1949年以后，积极参加研究、制定汉语拼音方案和简化汉字等工作。1920年在教学实践的基础上，系统地整理出白话语法规律，成为《新著国语文法》。这是中国第一部较系统的白话语法著作，对中国的语法学界影响很大。1957～1962年出版了《汉语语法教材》（与刘世儒合写），取材丰富，解释详细。辞典编纂是黎锦熙毕生从事的工作。1949年前主编出版的有《国语辞典》、《新部首索引国音字典》等。1949年后主持编写出《汉语辞典》、《同音字典》等。
