三聚乙醛    三分子乙醛的环状聚合物,分子式C6H12O3。三聚乙醛为无色流动性的液体,具有令人愉快的辛辣气味;熔点12.6℃,沸点128℃,相对密度0.9943(20/4℃);难溶于水,溶于醇、醚和氯仿中;不起醛的特征性反应;在少量酸存在下,可重新分解成乙醛。因此,在化学反应中,当有酸存在下,三聚乙醛可代替乙醛使用。乙醛在痕量的酸或重金属卤化物的催化下,于室温聚合(见聚合反应)成三聚乙醛。
