阿尔泰山阿尔泰山Altay Shan  A,ertQi Shan阿尔泰山(Altay shan)中国、哈萨克斯坦、俄罗斯、蒙古间的巨大山系(见5页地图)。“阿尔泰”蒙古语“金”之意,因山中黄金蕴藏丰富,故名。山体西北一东南走向,北起俄罗斯的新西伯利亚,南止新疆的北塔山,西邻哈萨克斯坦的斋桑泊盆地,东近蒙古中部杭爱山脉南缘,长达2 000余千米。中国境内山体属中段南坡,长500千米,宽80一150千米,海拔一般在1 700一3 000米以上,位于中、蒙边界的友谊峰最高,海拔4 374米。 山区古为浅海,在加里东运动中出现山体,后经长期侵蚀,夷为谁平原。喜马拉雅运动时期,再度急剧上升,同时发生巨大断裂,形成断块明显的阶梯地貌结构。西北部高峻、宽阔,多雪峰、冰川,东南部低矮、狭窄。山势从东北部向西南呈明显的3一4级阶梯。分水岭多角峰、刃脊、绝壁和陡坡。中L妇带切割严重,谷深坡陡。低山带多冲沟、绝壁。源于阿尔泰山的额尔齐斯河沿山麓向西北流,河谷宽阔平坦,向西伸展,直抵哈萨克斯坦斋桑泊盆地。主要支流自西向东有阿克哈巴河、哈巴河、布尔津河、克兰河、喀拉额尔齐斯河和喀依尔提河等。发源于阿尔泰山中段东侧蒙古境内的乌伦古河,流人中国后注入乌伦古湖。主要支流有大青河、小青河和查干郭勒河等。 山系属中温带大陆性气候,年平均气温一3℃,1月平均气温一23℃,7月平均气温22℃。年平均降水量500毫米。降水随高度递增,并由西向东、由北向南递减。冬季降雪量大,常有暴风雪,占全年降水的40%。冰雪覆盖面积达400一500平方千米。冻土深2米左右。山地植被垂直变化显著,海拔800~1 500米为灌木丛、草甸带,海拔1 500一2400米为针叶林带,海拔2500米以上为裸岩永久冰雪带。中低山区有少量简易公路、驮运道及游牧小道,7一9月易通行。山麓有布尔津经富蕴至奇台的干线公路与哈巴河一布尔津、阿勒泰一布尔津、阿勒泰一福海、可可托海一富蕴等人山的支线公路相连。民航自阿勒泰、可可托海有通往乌鲁木齐的航班。 阿尔泰山资源丰富。中国境内林区森林覆盖率27.3%,有林面积33.3万余公顷,林木蓄积量8 000多万立方米,占新疆的1/4,为新疆第二大林区。主要树种有西伯利亚云杉、落叶松、冷杉等。海拔3 000米以下的山坡为优质天然草场。野生动植物品种繁多,其中药用植物有贝母、甘草、大芸等二三百种,野生动物有赓鼠、水貂等。被、白云母、钾长石等矿藏居中国第一位,镍、艳、铿、锭、铜、金等矿藏居新疆之首。山区有阿勒泰、富蕴、青河等主要城镇。有哈萨克、汉、维、蒙、达斡尔等民族。阿尔泰山是新疆北部的天然屏障。额尔齐斯河谷为中国和哈萨克斯坦、俄罗斯之间的重要通道。1921年苏联红军4 800余人,自斋桑经吉木乃沿额尔齐斯河谷,进人阿勒泰地区追剿白卫军。 (王德正)阿尔泰山脉陆高70 140 f210千米
