吉林向海国家级自然保护区吉林向海国家级自然保护区位于吉林省通榆县境内，面积105467公顷，1981年经吉林省人民政府批准建立，1986年晋升为国家级，1992年被列入“世界重要湿地名录”，主要保护对象为丹顶鹤、白鹳等珍禽及其栖息生态环境。本区地处大兴安岭南坡台地的沼泽草甸与荒漠矮林景观地带，区内湖泊星罗棋布，有芦苇沼泽、羊草草原、稀树灌丛、沙丘榆林等多种类型的植被。保护区独具一格的自然环境和丰富的生物资源，哺育着种类繁多的野生动物，尤其是鸟类资源相当丰富，据初步调查，约有15目，33科，102种鸟类，其中丹顶鹤、白鹤、白枕鹤、灰鹤、白鹳、白琵鹭等为国家重点保护野生动物，也是世界濒危物种丹顶鹤、白鹳等珍禽的重要繁殖区。
