脱氮作用分子式：CAS号：性质：又称脱氮作用或硝酸盐呼吸作用。某些兼性厌氧微生物在无游离氧条件下，利用硝酸盐代替分子氧，以作为呼吸链的最终氢受体，并把它还原成亚硝酸、一氧化氮、氧化二氮和分子氮的过程。能进行反硝化作用的细菌称反硝化细菌，有自养型和异养型两类，前者如脱氮假单胞菌(Pseudomonas denitrificans)和脱氮副球菌(Paracoccus denitrificans)等；后者如脱氮硫杆菌(Thiobacillus denitrificans)等。在自然条件下反硝化作用多发生在淹水土壤或死水塘中。反硝化作用是土壤氮肥损失的重要原因之一。若干水生性反硝化细菌可用于去除污水中的硝酸盐。
