奶牛奶牛dairycattle经高度选育而成的专门化乳用品种。其产品牛奶是营养全面、适合饮用的重要食物,也是现代乳品工业的重要原料。奶牛头部轮廓清晰,略长。颈薄有皱褶。皮薄,毛细短,皮下脂肪少,全身结构匀称,细致紧凑,棱角清晰。后躯较前躯发达,乳房庞大,重可达11~28千克,乳静脉明显。耐热性较差,对饲养管理要求较高。世界上奶牛品种近百个,其中最著名的有黑白花牛、娟姗牛、更赛牛、爱尔夏牛等。18世纪末19世纪初中国开始引入西方专门化奶牛品种。经用黑白花牛与中国黄牛杂交,并对其后代进行长期选育,已培育出中国黑白花奶牛品种。根据奶牛生长发育过程中的生理需要,可分4个主要阶段:①犊牛(6月龄以内)培育,须从妊娠后期就加强母体营养。犊牛出生后,尽早喂给初乳5~7天,然后转喂常奶,60~90天断奶。及早补饲精粗饲料,以利消化器官发育。②育成牛(6月龄后至产犊前)饲养,与公牛分开,饲以大容积优质青粗饲料,并适当补充精料及矿物质饲料。如有条件以放牧饲养为宜。③泌乳期饲养管理。日料组成应力求多样而营养全面。一般每产3~4千克牛奶需喂给1千克精饲料,粗纤维以占日粮总干物质的15%~20%为宜。随着泌乳量逐日上升营养需要也加大。为避免泌乳高峰期母牛消瘦,采用全价配合饲料供牛自由采食,并可用电子设置自动控制给料。④干乳期(产前2个月左右至分娩前)饲养管理。母牛在干乳期可弥补由于长期泌乳或因妊娠后期胎儿迅速发育而导致的养分亏损,并为下个泌乳期准备条件。干乳期一般60天左右。这时期按日产奶10~15千克营养需要饲养,同时注意补充矿物质和维生素,并加强运动。
