UPS电源的选择与使用认识UPS电源 UPS的全称是Uninterruptible Power System,即不间断电源。UPS是一种以逆变器为主要元件、稳压稳频输出的计算机电源保护设备。它可以解决现有电力的断电、低电压、高电压、突波、杂讯等现象,使我们的计算机系统和网络运行更加稳定安全。 UPS电源的作用 UPS究竟能为校园网络做些什么呢?作为计算机外设之一,特别是校园网络中的保护设备,它主要起到三个作用:一是提供后备电源,防止突然断电造成的损害,如一些重要数据的丢失等;二是消除“污染”,改善电源质量,对电源系统中的浪涌、噪声、电压下降等现象它都能改进,使计算机中的电子部件免受摧毁性损坏;三是对整个数据通道进行保护,提高校园网络的可用性。 UPS电源的选择 目前,可供学校选择的UPS电源品种很多,我们一般所指的UPS电源大都为静态变换式,它可分为:后备式、在线式、在线互动式三大类。但是在选购时要注意以下问题: 1.不要过分追求对UPS常规电性能指标的要求,诸如转换时间、电压和频率稳定精度、波形失真度等。应该重视对UPS输出能力和可靠性的考察。 2.选定适合自己的UPS。不同的用户对UPS类型的需求也是不同的,个人及家庭用户可以考虑后备式型UPS电源,它价格低廉,外形轻巧,是个人电脑的理想伙伴。而学校用户可以选购后备式UPS电源,也可考虑在线式UPS电源或线上互动式UPS电源。在选购时要确定UPS的容量,针对学校机房、工作站等场地一般有1kVA至16kVA等多种容量。学校在选购UPS电源时应针对学校使用电脑的台数,向商家询问适合本学校的UPS容量。目前国内常见的 UPS品牌有APC、山特、梅兰日兰、实达、华为等。 使用中的注意事项 UPS电源在使用时必须遵守其操作规程,应注意以下问题: 1.UPS电源要防止阳光直射,要留有足够的通风空间,同时,禁止在UPS输出端口接带有感性的负载。 2.使用UPS电源时,应务必遵守产品说明书中的有关规定,保证所接的火线、零线、地线符合要求,用户不得随意改变其相互的顺序。 3.严格按照正确的开机、关机顺序进行操作。避免因负载突然加载或突然减载时,UPS电源的电压输出波动大,而使UPS电源无法正常工作。 4.严禁频繁地关闭和开启UPS电源。一般要求在关闭UPS电源后,至少等待6秒钟后才能开启UPS电源,否则,UPS电源可能进入“启动失败”的状态,即UPS电源进入既无市电输出,又无逆变输出的状态。
