包装机械的机电一体化发展趋势但是随着生产力的日益提高，包装参数的随机多变，这些控制系统已越来越难以满足新形势的发展。这时，一种新技术－－机电一体化技术应运而生，它彻底改变了包装机械的面貌，使其以全新的姿态出现在世人面前。 机电一体化技术的特点 在当前科学技术日新月异的时代，各种新技术、新工艺、新材料、新设备的出现，已不再是单纯某一门学科的发展，而是各门相关学科、多种先进技术的互相渗透和相辅相成的结果。机电一体化技术就是这样的一种新技术，它是在信息论、控制论和系统论的基础上建立起来的综合技术。其实质是从系统观点出发，运用过程控制原理，将机械、电子与信息、检测等有关技术进行有机组合，实现整体最佳化。具体地讲，它是将微机技术引入到包装机械中。 机电一体化从根本上改变了包装机械的面貌。在这种包装机械中，微机作为它的大脑，取代了常规的控制系统。机械结构是其主体和躯干，各种仪器、仪表、传感器是其感官，它们感受各种包装参数的变化，并反馈到大脑（微机）中，各种执行机构则是它的手足，用以完成包装操作所必需的动作。 一个完整的机电一体化系统，一般包括微机、传感器、动力源、传动系统、执行机构等部分。它摒弃了常规包装机械中的繁琐和不合理部分，而将机械、微机、微电子、传感器等多种学科的先进技术融为一体，给包装机械在设计、制造和控制方面都带来了深刻的变化，从根本上改变了包装机械的面貌。 对包装机械的作用 一种新技术，一旦变成生产力，常常会起到巨大的作用。如光电定位的误差远小于机械定位，微波干燥的效果远好于电加热干燥等等，机电一体化技术用于包装机械上的时间虽不长，但效果是明显的，作用是巨大的。 使机械结构大为简化 控制系统是机器的发令器官，传统的包装机械控制系统多采用继电器、接触器控制电路，其复杂程度随着执行机构的增多，以及调整部位的增加而加大，使得机器也越来越复杂，给制造、调整、使用和维修均带来不便。而机电一体化，可用微机、传感技术、新型传动技术取代笨重的电气控制柜和驱动装置，使零部件数量剧减，结构大为简化，体积也随之缩小。 产品质量提高 微机内有一个巨大的存储系统，人们可预先将影响包装机工作的各参数及有关数据存入微机，它能自动跟踪生产过程。当一个参数或几个参数发生变化，这种变化在瞬间反馈至微机，微机对这些变化参数进行识别、判断并及时进行相应修正，使包装机随时保持最佳工作状态。而传统包装机在工艺参数变化时，其调整多凭经验，这就难以找到最佳参数；若是几个工艺参数同时改变，更是无所适从。
