蜚蠊目蜚蠊目Blattaria昆虫纲的一目。包括蜚蠊和地鳖(分别俗称为蟑螂和土鳖)。世界已知5000多种。中国已知200余种。重要种类有:美洲大蠊、黑褐大蠊、日本大蠊、澳洲大蠊、德国小蠊,均为常见的家庭害虫。中华地鳖亦栖于以砖、土为地表的房屋内,可以作为中药材入药。蔗蠊在中国分布于南方,为害蔗苗、蔬菜等。体较扁平、长椭圆形,前胸背板大,盾形,盖住头部。各足相似,基节宽大,跗节由5小节组成。有的种类(如德国小蠊)雄虫背面具驱拒腺开口,可分泌臭气。无鸣器和听器。多数种类性喜黑暗,为夜行性昆虫,行走迅速。不善跳跃。杂食性。家居蜚蠊常见于室内,多数4翅发达,稍能飞,有的种类翅短,或全无翅,如地鳖雌虫。在热带、亚热带或北方室温高的地方终年繁殖活动。但在无取暖设备的温带(如中国的长江流域),则冬季停止活动,隐藏于室内阴暗而温暖的角落以及器具的隙缝中。野生蜚蠊多生活在草丛间、砖石下、树皮下或树洞里,有的种类如穴蠊栖居于山洞、窑洞中;蚁巢蠊栖居于蚁巢内;一种光蠊栖居于水边,可短暂潜入水中;许多木蠊栖息于林地的落叶或伐倒的枯树下;弯翅蠊、隐尾蠊靠枯木生活,许多野生蜚蠊以动物尸体为食。渐变态。多数卵生。雄虫雌虫蜚蠊与人类有密切关系。①室内害虫:它们是厨房、食堂、仓库等处的重要害虫。不少种类传播痢疾、伤寒、蛔虫、蛲虫等疾病。②药用:地鳖可入中药,有破血逐瘀散结作用,用于妇女闭经、跌打损伤等症。③农业害虫。主要是温室害虫,特别为害幼苗,严重时能使被害植物死亡。在中国广西和福建,蔗蠊为害蔗苗、蔬菜及仓储稻谷、糠麸等。
