滞育滞育diapause动物受环境条件的诱导所产生的静止状态的一种类型。它常发生于一定的发育阶段,比较稳定,不仅表现为形态发生的停顿和生理活动的降低,而且一经开始必须度过一定阶段或经某种生理变化后才能结束。动物通过滞育及与之相似但较不稳定的休眠现象来调节生长发育和繁殖的时间,以适应所在地区的季节性变化。昆虫和其他节肢动物在个体发育过程中或繁殖期所出现的静止状态可明确区分为休眠和滞育两大类。休眠直接由低温、干旱等不利环境条件引起,环境恢复正常即可开始活动。滞育则发生于个体发育的一定阶段,是在不利环境到来之前,由某些季节信号,尤其如光周期变化的诱导而引起。例如柞蚕四、五龄幼虫,特别是末龄幼虫只要接受到每天13小时短光照的刺激,蛹期便进入滞育状态。滞育蛹即使有适宜温度仍不发育。在自然情况下,滞育的开始和结束要求一定的时间和条件;这些过程受激素的调节和控制。滞育可以发生于昆虫的不同发育阶段:有的发生于胚胎发育的早期,如家蚕;有的发生于胚胎发育已完成的阶段,如舞毒蛾;有的可发生于幼虫的某一龄期,如松毛虫;或幼虫晚期阶段,如玉米螟;有的发生于蛹期,如柞蚕;有的发生于成虫期,如七星瓢虫。成虫期的滞育主要表现为生殖腺停止发育。昆虫滞育的发生与它们的化性有关。有些一化性昆虫发育到一定的阶段即进入滞育,称为专性滞育。多化性昆虫发生滞育的世代和个体百分率等可以不同。这种情况称为兼性滞育。昆虫滞育在生理上的表现是:生长发育停顿,呼吸率降低,虫体含水量下降,脂肪含量增高,某些酶系活性降低,抗寒性和抗药性增加。
