《元和姓纂》《元和姓纂》中国唐代谱牒姓氏之学的专著。原本10卷，今有10卷本、18卷本两种。唐宪宗时宰相李吉甫命林宝修撰，元和七年（812）成书。作者林宝，济南人（一作三原人），约经历了唐德宗至穆宗四朝，当时即以擅长姓氏之学知名。曾与崔郾等共同审定《格后敕》，并参与修撰《德宗实录》和《皇唐玉牒》。该书详载唐代族姓世系和人物，于古姓氏书颇多征引，因而也保存了一些佚书的片段。原书体例以皇族李氏为首，然后按四声韵部分系姓氏。唐代崇尚门第，家谱往往攀附望族以自重。《姓纂》取材包括私家谱牒，故所述族姓来源未必都翔实准确。原书久已失传，清乾隆间纂修《四库全书》时从《永乐大典》辑出，再用宋邓名世《古今姓氏书辨证》等补缺，重新分为18卷，此为《四库》辑本。清孙星衍、洪莹及近人罗振玉都做过校补。此后岑仲勉又重行校勘，写成《元和姓纂四校记》。所谓“四校”，指第四次校勘，以《四库》辑本为一校，孙、洪为二校，罗振玉为三校，岑氏所作为第四校，该书晚出，后来居上，功力最深，收获也最大。有中华书局排印本。
