河北红松洼自然保护区河北红松洼自然保护区位于河北省围场满族蒙古族自治县境内,地理坐标为东经117°18ˊ-117°35ˊ,北纬42°10ˊ-42°20ˊ,总面积7300公顷。保护区于1994年经河北省人民政府批准建立,是一个以亚高山草甸为主要保护对象的自然保护区。本区地处蒙古高原东南沿,地貌属高原台地,平均海拔1750米,区内有大小1个,水域面积8公顷,植被以亚高山草甸为主,建群种主要为莎草科,禾本科、豆科、菊科等次之。植被覆盖率在90%以上,为华北亚高山草甸保存最好的区域之一。由于 本区位于东北、华北、内蒙古三大植物区系交汇地带,生物多样性比较丰富,每 平方米种子植物达25种以上,区内分布有国家重点保护的药用植物8种以及白鹤、黑鹤、大鸨、大天鹅等国家保护野生动物20种,为我国中温型森林草原地带的生物物种基因库,具有重要的保护价值和科研价值。另一方面,本区位于西辽河和滦河和发源地,处于农牧交错地带,生态系统脆弱敏感,稳定度低,容易引起沙化退化。
