雅克-达尔克罗兹，E. 瑞士作曲家、教育家。1865年7月6 日生于维也纳，1950年7月1日卒于日内瓦。先在日内瓦音乐学院学习,后到巴黎从L.德利布，又到维也纳从J.J.富克斯及A.布鲁克纳学习音乐。1892年起任日内瓦音乐学院和声教授。在此期间，为使乐感的训练不局限于只是对节奏的解释，并将其体现在人体运动之中，他首创一套"律动体操"，即以身体的律动来表现音乐的节奏。1905年,他的教学法在瑞士作曲家协会会议上通过，这种教学体系称为"优律动"。雅克－达尔克罗兹先后在德累斯顿（1910）和日内瓦（1915）建立了应用这一教学体系的研究所，以后又在欧洲其他地方和北美洲设立分所。这套教学体系，对欧美的音乐教育和舞蹈教育产生了重大的影响，它为音乐的节奏感和舞蹈动作之间的协调提供了依据。他的研究所造就出来的学生以及在他的理论影响下产生的舞蹈人才中，包括后来成为现代舞历史上的代表性人物M.维格曼、H.霍尔姆、K.尤斯和R.圣丹尼斯等。作为作曲家，他作有歌剧多部、小提琴协奏曲2首,以及为"优律动"教学用的大量钢琴曲和改编曲等。主要著作有《节奏、音乐和教育》（1919）、《优律动、艺术和教育》(1930)等。
