潜水潜水phreaticwater埋藏在地表以下第一个稳定隔水层之上、具有自由水面的地下水。一般存在于第四纪松散沉积物的孔隙中和裸露基岩的裂隙、溶隙中。潜水的自由水面称潜水面。潜水面上所受的压力为1个大气压。潜水面至地面的垂直距离为潜水的埋藏深度。从潜水面到隔水底板的距离是潜水含水层的厚度。潜水通常通过包气带接受大气降水、地表水、灌溉渗漏水的补给，潜水的补给区与分布区完全一致。潜水受当地气候变化的影响较大。在干旱、半干旱地区，潜水埋藏深度小时，潜水蒸发可导致土壤盐渍化，在地形低平地区，潜水位高时，可引起土壤沼泽化。潜水在重力作用影响下，从潜水位高处向潜水位较低的地段流动，静水压力表现不突出，故常称为无压水。潜水埋藏浅，较易开发，被人们广泛应用。一般民用井多挖到潜水含水层。潜水容易被污染，应十分注意卫生防护。开发时应适量抽取，过量持续抽取会造成潜水面区域性持续下降，从而引起潜水资源枯竭。
