起毛 用密集的刺或针将织物表层的纤维剔起，形成一层绒毛的整理过程，又称拉绒。绒毛层可以提高织物的保暖性，改善外观并使手感柔软。起毛主要用于粗纺毛织物、腈纶织物和棉织物等。毛织物在干燥状态起毛，绒毛蓬松而较短；在湿态时纤维延伸度较大，表层纤维易于起毛。毛织物喷湿起毛可获得较长的绒毛，浸水后起毛则可得到波浪形长绒毛。棉织物只宜用干起毛。起毛设备有针辊起毛机和刺果起毛机两类。 针辊起毛机 主要部件是包有钢丝针布的起毛针辊，针辊上的刺针通常呈弯膝形。针尖方向和织物前进方向一致的称为顺起毛针辊，方向相反的称为逆起毛针辊。针辊对织物有两种作用：刺针的针尖撞击织物表面时产生起毛作用；刺针的针背撞击织物时产生塞毛（或称顺毛）作用。针辊起毛机有数十根针辊均匀分布在一个大滚筒周围。运转时，针辊和大滚筒分别传动，针辊既有自转，又随大滚筒公转。织物单独传动，起毛作用是大滚筒、针辊和织物三者各自运转方向和速度的综合结果。大滚筒的转速基本固定，其转动方向一般和针辊转动方向相反。当针辊转速调节到刺针对织物的相对速度等于零时,刺针对织物基本不发生起毛或塞毛作用,称为"零点"。针辊的转速可调，借以改变刺针对织物的相对速度，从而得到不同的起毛效果。针辊起毛机有单作用式和双作用式两种。 ① 单作用式起毛机：又称单动式起毛机（图1，a），在运转过程中只有起毛或塞毛单种作用，全部采用顺起毛针辊，大滚筒转动方向和织物运动方向相反。 ② 双作用式起毛机：又称双动起毛机（图1，b），顺起毛针辊和逆起毛针辊在大滚筒周围相间排列，两组顺、逆针辊的转动方向都与织物的运动方向相反，可分别调节转速。双作用式起毛机在运转过程中，对织物可以同时发生起毛和塞毛两种作用。 刺果起毛机 刺果是一种表面密布着硬钩刺的果实，钩刺都朝一个方向。刺果起毛机作用较为缓和，适用于毛织物的湿起毛或浸水起毛，但须经多次重复才能达到预定效果。刺果起毛机有直刺果起毛机与转刺果起毛机之分。 ① 直刺果起毛机:刺果平行排列在长条框架上,每个框架上装2～3行，固定于大滚筒周围。织物贴于刺果表面并和大滚筒同向或反向运行，起毛效果顺直、柔和。 ② 转刺果起毛机：刺果穿在轴心上形成可以转动的刺果串（图2 ）。将刺果串固定排列在大滚筒周围。运转时，刺果随织物而被动滚转，使起毛作用更为柔和，经多次重复，能起出蓬松柔软的长绒毛。
