维纶维纶polyvinylalcoholfibric把聚乙烯醇溶解于水中,经纺丝、甲醛处理制成的合成纤维。聚乙烯醇缩甲醛纤维的中国商品名,又称维尼纶。1924年由德国P.H.赫尔曼和黑内尔合成聚乙烯醇,30年代制成纤维,名为津托菲尔(synthofil)。由于它溶解于水不能作纺织纤维,主要用作手术缝线。1939年日本樱田一郎等人研制成功聚乙烯醇的热处理和缩醛化方法,维纶才成为耐热水性良好的纤维。世界上生产维纶的国家主要有中国、日本、朝鲜等。维纶性质与棉花相似,强度和耐磨性优于棉花。它有良好的耐用性、吸湿性、保暖性、耐磨蚀和耐日光性;主要缺点是耐热水性差,弹性不佳,染色性较差,高温下的力学性能低。维纶大量用以与棉、粘胶纤维或其他纤维混纺,也可纯纺,用于制做外衣、汗衫、棉毛衫裤和运动衫,以及工作服;也可制作帆布、缆绳、渔网、包装材料和过滤材料。维纶纤维及制成的玩具狗
