草甘膦  有机磷除草剂的一个品种。又称膦甘酸、镇草宁、草甘宁。其结构式为:    美国于1971年开发。纯品为白色结晶。25℃水中溶解度为1.2%,其钠盐或胺盐易溶于水,不溶于常用的有机溶剂。是内吸型茎叶处理剂,易被茎叶吸收,而后再向下转移。叶面湿润时有利于药剂的渗透;加入表面活性剂,可以加快吸收的速度。在杂草生长期有足够叶片吸收药剂时施药效果最好。杀草机理在于干扰苯基丙氨酸的合成,进而阻滞蛋白质的合成。杀草速度较慢,一般一年生杂草在一周内、多年生杂草在两周内逐渐变黄枯萎,继而变褐、倒伏、根部腐烂而致死。    草甘膦是灭生性的除草剂,几乎对所有杂草都有效。主要用于:①对多年生杂草和灌木丛的控制;②经济作物,特别是热带作物种植园和果园、桑园等的除草;③农田的免耕或少耕栽培中的除草,作物生长期的保护性喷雾除草;④改良或更新牧场;⑤工业区、铁路、仓库和堆货场等场所的灭生性除草。大豆田除草常与苗前除草剂甲草胺、利谷隆混用,玉米田除草可与阿特拉津等混用。施药方式以茎叶喷雾法为主,也可将药剂涂在杂草茎叶上。草甘膦接触土壤后很易失去除草活性,故不能用作土壤处理。浓度较高的药液,接触到作物的叶片、幼龄苗木的绿色树皮或枝条、正萌动的嫩叶、幼芽时,都易产生药害。对人、畜、鱼类、蜜蜂较安全(见农药安全防护),但对眼睛有刺激作用。
