蛭纲蛭纲Hirudinea环节动物门的一纲。通称蛭,俗称蚂蟥。蛭纲是一类高度特化的环节动物。世界已知约600种,分隶于4目10科。中国已知约70种,隶属于3目5科25属。一般背腹平扁,前端较窄,体呈叶片状或蠕虫状。体上无刚毛。体形可随伸缩的程度或取食的多少而改变。体前端的腹侧有1前吸盘;后端有1后吸盘。身体由34个体节组成,最后7节愈合成后吸盘。头部背面有眼,后端有1肛门。雌雄同体,雄性先熟,异体受精。大多数蛭类,都以吸血或吸体腔液为生。吸血的对象包括多种脊椎动物和无脊椎动物,吸血种类主要为医蛭、牛蛭、鼻蛭、山蛭4个属。它们的吸血有3个共同的特点:①能在宿主未察觉的情况下,从宿主体上吸吮大量的血液。②吸血时分泌一种抗凝血的蛭素,使吸入的血液不会在蚂蟥体内凝固。③吸血蚂蟥的肠道内无任何蛋白水解酶,所以消化机能可能完全由共生菌承担。吸血的蛭只是偶而才有机会吸血。因此,每次吸血量很大,即使每年只吸1次血也不会饿死。蛭的运动可以分为游泳、尺蠖式运动和蠕动3种方式。游泳时体平铺如一片柳叶,波浪式向前游动。大多数蛭的生活习性带有寄生性质,属有害动物。如吸血蚂蟥不但吸血,还会引起细菌感染。蚂蟥对于水牛或放牧的牛马也有危害。鱼蛭和湖蛭寄生在鱼体上,严重时可引起鱼的死亡。大量的晶蛭幼蛭侵入水鸟的鼻孔或气管内吸血,也可造成水鸟水蛭的死亡。但蛭类可利用。中国古时把饥饿的蚂蟥装入竹筒,扣在皮肤上令其吸血,治赤白丹肿。蚂蟥入药有破血痛经、消积散瘀、消肿解毒的功效。在断指再植等整形外科手术后,利用蚂蟥吸血消除接通后血管的血流堵塞,并从蚂蟥提取蛭素等多种生物活性物质作为药用。水蛭
