掺气水流  在高速水流的水气界面附近,由于水质点湍动使空气掺入水中而造成的一种气液两相流动,常发生在射流、明槽流(见无压流)或半满管流中(见图)。    水流掺气不同于水中含气。后者指溶解于水中、人眼看不到的那些空气分子,含量小于当地水的饱和含气量;前者则指由于水流湍动而掺入水中的空气,并且以人眼可见的气泡形态浮游于水中,水流一旦静止,气泡中的空气便从水中逸出,掺气量一般大于水的饱和含气量。    水流掺气的主要原因是水流本身的湍动。当水流质点的湍动强度足以克服水流表面张力时,气水交界面上的表面波便会破碎,把空气卷入水中,带到界面下一定的深度,形成掺气水流。一般认为,产生于底部的湍流边界层到达水流表面是明槽流发生掺气现象的起始条件。另外,水股撞击和波浪破碎、扰动造成的表面旋涡等都会产生局部水花,形成局部掺气现象。    掺气水流中的空气分布是不均匀的,具有分层流的特性,通常用描述水中气泡输运的扩散方程来表述。理论分析和实验结果表明,在气水界面附近的法向掺气浓度分布符合正态高斯函数。    在水工建筑物水力学中,人们常利用水流自然掺气来增进泄水建筑物的消能效果,并采取工程措施,人为地使水流掺气以减轻或避免过水建筑物遭受空蚀破坏。在水力机械的运行中,为减少水轮叶片的空蚀,有时亦通入空气,不过,这会降低它的机械效率。
