永定河永定河海河流域五大水系之一。位于中国河北省西北部。上源有两支:南支为桑干河,发源于山西省宁武县管涔山,东流纳黄水河、浑河、御河等进入河北省境内再纳壶流河;北支洋河,源出内蒙古兴和县,于河北省境内张家口市纳清水河。原两支于河北省怀来县朱官屯汇流,汇流后始称永定河,自官厅水库建成后,两支均汇入官厅水库,官厅以下称永定河。经官厅山峡,至北京三家店出山,过卢沟桥以下形成地上河。向东流至屈家店与北运河(见京杭运河)汇合。全长681千米,流域面积5.1万平方千米(至屈家店)。上游流经黄土高原,河水含沙量仅次于黄河,故有小黄河、浑河之称。下游淤浅,河道迁徙无定,故又有无定河之称。清康熙三十七年(1698)为保护京城北京,筑永定大堤以固河槽,后定名永定河,但河水仍变化无常,经常决堤成灾。中华人民共和国建立后,在官厅以上先后兴建大、中、小型水库517座,总库容达33亿立方米。其中,以官厅水库的库容为最大,约22.7亿立方米。1970年开挖了永定新河,从屈家店到北塘,然后入渤海,以分泄汛期洪水,防止水害。
