标枪标枪javelin田径运动投掷项目之一。掷标枪运动源远流长，古代人类把锋利的尖石绑在树枝上，在狩猎与战争中当作武器投向野兽和敌人，这就是掷标枪运动的雏形。公元前5世纪古希腊就把掷标枪列入五项运动之一。当时标枪枪身上可以缠上带子，帮助用力。比赛不但要求远，而且要求准。现代掷标枪运动于19世纪末首先出现在斯堪的那维亚国家，瑞典人和芬兰人在研究掷标枪技术和原理方面做出了贡献。1908年第4届奥运会和1932年第10届奥运会先后把男子和女子标枪列入正式比赛项目。现代标枪是用金属制成的长杆形流线体，带有金属枪头，中段有缠线把手。男子标枪重800克，长260～270厘米；女子标枪重600克，长220～230厘米。运动员必须用单手握住标枪缠线把手处，在助跑道上助跑后，在起掷弧线内把枪从肩上掷出。掷出之枪，必须枪尖比枪身其他部位先着地，并落在29°的扇形落地区内，成绩方为有效。标枪投掷区的助跑道长36米、宽4米，前端安装有7厘米宽的木制起掷弧线。标枪的丈量是以2厘米为最小计算单位，从标枪落地痕迹的最近点取直线通过起掷弧线至圆心，量至起掷弧线内沿为准。比赛时，运动员按顺序每人先轮流试掷3次，选出成绩较优的8名（或6名）运动员再试掷3次，取其6次中最佳成绩判定名次。标枪基本技术由持枪、助跑、引枪、交叉步、最后用力、维持身体平衡6个动作阶段所组成。运动员正在投掷标枪
