X射线暴
[英文]:X-ray burst[解释]: 天体 的 X射线 突然增强许多倍的天文现象。1974年首次为卫星发现,后被认为是20世纪70年代天文学上的重大发现。这种爆发在不到1秒钟的时间内,X射线强度可增大20~50倍,最大流量达10 -11 ~10 -10 焦耳/(米 2 ·秒),由此算出的总功率为10 31 ~10 32 瓦,以平均持续10秒计,发出的总能量达10 32 ~10 33 焦耳 ,而且一般会快速重复出现爆发,却又无规律的周期。按爆发间隔长短可分两种类型:Ⅰ型的间隔时间为几小时到几天,Ⅱ型却只相隔几秒到几分钟。已查明,X射线暴大多位于银道面附近 ,也有少数来自 球状星团 。有关其本质研究是高能天体物理学的重大课题之一。
