细脚拟长  端足目亚目科(Hyperiidae)中的1种。体长6~8毫米,复眼很大,占头部大部。颚足简单,第2对颚足的腕节后侧角成匙状突起,超越掌节长度的1/2。第3对步足细长,是步足中最长的1对,其长度约为第4对步足的2倍。掌节前缘具6根长刺毛,长刺毛之间整齐地排列着梳状的小刺毛,尾足均为细长型。    本种为北温带外海种,在渤海以5~7月最多,6月出现一个数量高峰,通常分布在渤海中部和黄海高盐区域。它在黄海北部和南部的季节分布基本一致,从3月开始增多,至 7月达到数量最高峰,接着下降,10月数量最低,从11~12月,它的数量略有增加。在东海数量很少,6月也有一个小高峰出现,但数量偏低,常分布在黄海和东海水交汇混合区。是上述水域的优势种,也是经济鱼类(如鲐、鲅和竹鱼等)的主要摄食对象。
