秧歌剧一种小型的歌舞剧。是抗战时期在延安解放区创作的一种新的艺术形式。1942年延安文艺座谈会以后，延安解放区的广大文艺工作者，积极响应毛泽东同志和党中央的号召，投身于工农兵群众之中去，认真研究民间艺术，热情地向群众学习流行于陕北农村的一种歌舞形式——秧歌，在群众性秧歌的基础上，熔歌、舞、剧于一炉。创作出“秧歌剧”这一艺术形式。其情节单纯，人物少，道具、化装简便，载歌载舞。著名的作品有《兄妹开荒》、《夫妻识字》、《动员起来》、《宝山参军》等。
