中国心理学会 中国心理学者的群众性学术团体。它的宗旨是团结全国广大心理学工作者，开展学术活动，加强学术研究，以促进心理科学的繁荣和发展，为实现中国的社会主义现代化作出贡献。主要工作有：开展学术交流活动；编译出版心理学书刊；普及心理学知识；配合或协同有关部门研究、解决心理学的一些课题；开展国际学术交流活动；举办心理学的各种培训班等。中国心理学会的前身是中华心理学会，创始于1921年，在南京举行成立大会，会长为张耀翔，会刊为《心理》杂志。几年后，由于经费困难,停止活动。后于1937年1月在南京召开中国心理学会成立大会，主席为陆志韦，会刊为《中国心理学报》。不久，抗日战争爆发，活动又停止。中华人民共和国成立后,1950年开始筹备重建中国心理学会,1953年在北京召开中国心理学会筹备委员会第1次会议。1955年在北京成立并举行第1次代表大会；1960年举行第2次代表大会，理事长为潘菽。"文化大革命"期间，被迫停止活动。1977年11月恢复活动。1981年在北京举行第3次代表大会暨纪念建会60周年学术会议。代表会上改选了理事会,潘菽连任理事长。1984年在北京举行第4届理事会，荆其诚当选理事长。1988年选出第5届理事会,在1989年第1次会议上王甦当选理事长。中国心理学会下属有11个专业委员会：发展心理、教育心理、心理学基本理论、医学心理、体育运动心理、普通心理和实验心理、工业心理、生理心理、学校管理心理、法制心理和心理测量。还设有3个工作委员会:科普工作、学术工作、国际学术交流工作。中国心理学会主办的会刊有《心理学报》和《心理科学》。
