更名田更名田中国清初，政府将明代宗室藩王所遗田产改归原耕种佃农所有的土地。又称更名地。原是明代的藩封之产，散布于直隶(今河北)、山东、山西、河南、湖北、湖南、陕西、甘肃等省，总数约近20万顷。清初，原明代藩封之产有些因战乱荒芜；有些因藩王勋戚逃亡，为农民占有，或为豪强侵占。在畿辅地区，还有被圈占为旗地的。清朝统治者从顺治元年(1644)起曾几次下诏，将这些土地收归国家所有。康熙七年(1668)，清廷为了加速垦荒，增加赋税收入，下诏将废藩田房变价，照民地征粮。次年，将土地无偿给予原种之人，令其耕种，照常征粮。这些改入民名的田土，称为更名田。虽然诏谕中宣布更名田无偿给予原种之人，但实际情况并不完全如此，有的百姓得到更名田，是要向封建国家纳价的。清朝政府通过更名田形式把一部分藩产无偿地交与原耕佃农承种，使其成为拥有合法土地所有权、只缴纳封建国家赋税的自耕农民。但是，由于在实行更名田以前，很多地主豪强侵占了不少藩产，以后又借认垦荒田名义，广为搜索，所以，更名田的好处实际上多为地主豪强所取得。
