阅览服务 图书馆提供阅览室及相关设备和环境，供读者在馆内利用文献的服务项目。它是图书馆传统的主要服务方式之一。对于某些新型文献如音像文献等的提供利用活动，有时又称声像服务或视听服务。提供给读者阅览的文献一般是不能外借出馆的文献，如古籍善本、参考工具书、检索刊物、报纸、缩微品、机读文献、特藏或保留本(库本)等，广义地说也包括音像文献。这些文献多数存放在阅览室、视听室或参考研究室内。存放在基本书库(见馆藏组织)的文献，有的可由读者通过出纳台暂时借出，在普通阅览室或馆内其他场所使用。阅览服务的优点是文献资料周转快、利用率高；图书馆员有更多机会接近读者，了解他们的阅读需求和阅读效果，便于有针对性地开展阅读辅导等服务。缺点是读者受空间(馆内)、时间(开馆时间)和读者本身条件的限制。 阅览服务是与图书馆馆藏情况(复本、载体结构等)、社会?南壮霭婧透粗颇芰Α⑼际楣莸纳枋┨跫冉裘芟喙氐摹Ｖ泄梁ジ锩昂蟮脑缙谕际楣荩苊馔际槎鸹担饕捎迷睦婪绞搅魍ㄍ际椤Ｎ鞣?19世纪以前的图书馆也以阅览为主要服务方式。开架阅览是现代各国图书馆阅览服务的发展趋势。
