校雠学校雠学研究中国古代整理文献的方法的学科。校雠本为比勘校对之意：“一人读书，校其上下，得谬误，为校；一人持本，一人读书，若冤家相对，为雠。”先秦古籍中便有有关校雠的记载。西汉刘向、刘歆父子在整理皇家藏书的校雠实践中，第一次归纳总结了校雠规程。宋代以前所说的校雠，主要是以勘定传本、审定篇次、校正文字为内容的工作方法，它依附于经书章名注疏而存在。至宋代，一方面校雠工作开始向理论化的方向发展，出现了独立完整的专书校勘著作与总结归纳校勘原则、通例的著作，另一方面，郑樵的《通志·校雠略》将校雠的内容拓展为论述收藏整理、经营管理图书的理论与方法，奠定了传统校雠学的基础。至清代，伴随着对传统典籍的大规模清理总结，形成了以文字、音韵、训诂为基础，以“辨章学术，考镜源流”为特色，包括目录、版本、校勘在内的校雠学学科体系，它涉及了版本考证、文字校勘、史实考订、古籍分类、目录编纂、内容提要等古籍整理工作的几乎所有环节与方面。近代以来，校雠学中的目录、版本、校勘等内容又走向分化与独立。校雠俑（西晋）
