材料保护 :无机覆层 材料保护技术中用无机材料在金属表面上形成的覆层。常用的材料有辉绿石﹑黏土水泥﹑难熔的金属氧化物﹑碳化物﹑金属陶瓷和珐琅等。辉绿石覆层可用作衬裡﹐具有耐酸和耐磨的性能。水泥覆层成本低﹐它的膨胀係数(1.0×10-4/℃)与钢的膨胀係数接近(1.2×10-4/℃)﹐可通过离心浇注施於钢管内壁或喷覆在外表面上﹐厚度一般为0.5~2.5厘米﹐可抗土壤﹑海水和矿井水的腐蚀。远距离输送天然气的管道一般都採用水泥衬裡。这种覆层的缺点是韧性较差﹐但埋在土中的管道受到撞击和震动小﹐可使用数十年。利用金属陶瓷材料(金属和金属碳化物烧结的)和难熔氧化物可以解决在高温下抗蚀﹑抗磨问题﹐例如石油机械和化工设备要求比普通硬质合金更能抗氧化和腐蚀﹐并能耐高温(766℃)﹑耐磨的覆层。这种覆层可用两三倍於音速的 73WC+20Cr+7Ni粉末喷覆。有的Al2O-TiO2系的覆层与合成纤维有相容性﹐可用於纺织机拉辊﹔有的不与熔融金属发生作用﹐可用於压铸机械。Cr2O3覆层的硬度高﹐耐磨性好﹐在多数化学介质中稳定﹐是化工机械中的良好耐磨﹑耐蚀材料。搪瓷是用膨胀係数适宜的玻璃态材料熔在金属表面上形成的﹐其主要成分是硷金属的硼硅酸盐﹐具有抗氢氟酸以外很多强酸和一般硷液的性能。用这类保护层製出的反应釜﹑搅拌器﹑管道﹑阀门等﹐广泛用於化学﹑医药﹑食品的生產设备。
