光弹性散光法 一种实验应力分析方法,利用光线通过光弹性材料时的散光性能进行应力分析。此法的主要特点是在进行三维光弹性实验应力分析时不必破坏模型,有时也可不将模型冻结。1939年,R.韦勒首先提出光弹性散光法,经过D.C.德鲁克、H.T.杰索普、M.M.弗罗赫特等人的努力,到50年代末,它的原理已比较完善,但由于技术上的原因,这种方法未得到广泛使用。60年代激光技术的发展,获得高强度的片光源,才使光弹性散光法得到推广。此法已用来解决扭转、平面应力、表面应力和轴对称应力等的测量问题,但尚难以用于研究较复杂的三维应力问题。 光线通过各向同性的透明介质时,由于介质中的微粒或分子的作用,产生散射光。垂直于传播方向的散射光,是平面偏振光。它的光强度和入射光的性质、材料的散光性能以及观察方向有关。入射为自然光时,在传播轴的所有垂直方向的散射光的光强度相等(图1)。 入射光为椭圆偏振光时,从长轴的垂直方向观察,光强度最大;从短轴的垂直方向观察,光强度最小(图2a)。圆偏振光是椭圆偏振光的一种特例。入射时和自然光相似,在传播轴的所有垂直方向,其散光的光强度相等(图2b)。椭圆偏振光的另一特例是平面偏振光。沿其偏振方向观察时,光强度为零;而从垂直于其偏振方向观察时,光强度最大(图2c)。 光弹性散光法所用的模型材料,主要由环氧树脂和适量的固化剂配制而成。为了增加其散光性能,可加入适量的掺合物,如硅油等。另外,为了除去材料中颗粒较大的杂质,可用聚四氟乙烯制成的过滤器过滤。 用散光法分析纯粹的扭转问题 (图3)有其显著的优点。常常只要一次投射,就可以得到模型截面上剪应力的大小和分布。截面上各点的最大剪应力,决定于该点沿条纹法线方向的条纹级数变化率,即 式中τ为最大剪应力;r为径向距离;Nr为径向r处的条纹级数为条纹级数变化率。最大剪应力的方向和该点条纹的切线方向相重合。 在研究非圆截面构件、变截面圆杆、带键槽轴和花键轴的扭转等问题中,散光法都有很好的应用效果。 参考书目 M.M.弗罗希特著,黎仲鼎译:《光测弹性力学》,第二卷,科学出版社,北京,1966。(M.M.Frocht,Photo-elasticity, Vol.1.John Wiley & Sons, New York,1948.)
