紫薇紫薇lagerstroemiaindica;crapemyrtle千屈菜科紫薇属落叶小乔木。又称百日红、满堂红、痒痒树。株高可达9米,树皮片状剥落,树干光滑。单叶对生或近对生,椭圆形。圆锥花序顶生,淡红、紫色、或白色。有红薇、银薇、翠薇3个变种。原产亚洲南部,主要分布中国中部、南部以及印度、马来西亚等地。性喜温暖气候和光照,又稍耐荫,耐旱,怕涝。适宜肥沃湿润而排水良好的石灰质土壤。可分蘖、扦插或播种繁殖。宜对植于庭院、堂前,丛植于草坪、石旁;或盆栽作桩景。中国四川成都一带有利用紫薇丛生枝编扎造型,使其彼此愈合而成各种奇特形状,如花篮、拱门、屏风等。
