塑料制品抛光工艺常见的塑料制品如开关盖、仪表壳、按钮盒、接线板等电器绝缘件以及灯具、钮扣、唱片、计算尺、收音机、相机材料、洗衣机水槽等,都需进行表面抛光处理,以清除痕迹缺陷,显示出一定的光泽度,满足使用要求。 塑料制品表面的抛光加工,一般采用功率为1.2-2.2千瓦的地面式抛光机,对于大型制件,可以采用手提式抛光机。抛光机上的抛轮,通常用呢绒或细棉布圆片相互叠合,每隔3—6mm用线缝连,叠厚达3—4cm,并夹在金属片中间制成。 抛光过程一般分作两步。首先是灰抛或磨削抛光。灰抛的目的主要是清除制品表面上的冷疤、斑痕和微量废边。其抛光材料选择100—150目的轻浮石粉。为防止轻浮石粉被旋转的抛轮甩出污染环境,应在抛轮及物件的外侧面备上防护罩。磨削抛光是将制品的粗糙表面加工平滑,其抛光物件可用300目左右的二氧化硅细粉加工,若加工有机玻璃、聚苯乙烯等透明而硬度不高的塑料制品,物料中可适量加入绿油。制品表面要求不高时,灰抛或磨削抛光后予以清洗、干燥即告结束。如果要将平滑的表面加工具有光泽的表面,就需再进行增泽抛光。增泽抛光使用的抛轮,则采用更为柔软的呢绒。抛光物料也多属脂膏一类,如高级牙膏、白油膏或润湿的去污粉等。也可添加少量极细的矿物性物料,如70%石蜡和30%氧化铬。 抛光操作时要防止过热现象发生,以避免因软化而引起表面出现的波纹、拉毛或翘曲;不要让制品和抛光轮之间的压力过大,应时抛时停。加工热塑性塑料制品,抛轮的转速以不超过1200m/min的线速度为宜,而加工热固性塑料制品,抛轮线速度则一般控制在1200—1800m/min的范围内。
