罗布泊罗布泊位于中国新疆维吾尔自治区塔里木盆地东部的断陷构造湖。古称泑泽、盐泽、蒲昌海,蒙古语称罗布诺尔,意为多水汇入之湖。湖面海拔768米。在历史上,曾接纳塔里木河及其支流孔雀河、车尔臣河以及来自甘肃境内的疏勒河等内陆河流。罗布泊形成距今不到100万年,在它全盛时期,面积有5300平方千米。进入汉代仍有“广袤三百里”之说。后来由于这里气候变干,入湖水量大减。罗布泊曾以神秘的游移湖著称于世,湖盆位置和积水轮廓存在南北向的摆动。这与塔里木河和孔雀河之间的关系频繁变化有关,当塔里木河向北摆动,通过汊流与孔雀河相连时,水就流进北面的洼地,潴水形成北罗布泊(界于北纬40°~41°);当它与孔雀河汇合后,向南摆动,河水就向南流入另一洼地,形成南罗布泊(也称台特马湖,界于北纬39°~40°)。塔里木河在下游经常改道,罗布泊亦迁徙不定,但这种迁移变化只限于湖盆之中,湖水从未越出湖盆的范围。新构造运动和人类经济活动等因素,也影响到罗布泊的变化。如20世纪60年代以后,由于中上游发展农业生产,扩大绿洲面积,拦截和引走塔里木河和孔雀河大量河水,下泄水量减少,塔里木河水流到阿拉干就已断流,孔雀河水到达营盘附近就逐渐干涸,从而使罗布泊演变成各类盐壳的荒原。干涸的罗布泊
