柞蚕柞蚕Antheraeapernyi;tussah鳞翅目大蚕蛾科柞蚕属。古称野蚕、槲蚕。一种吐丝昆虫,因喜食柞树叶得名。茧可缫丝,主要用于织造柞丝绸。中国是最早利用柞蚕和放养柞蚕的国家。现在中国的柞蚕生产分布于10多个省区,以辽宁、河南、山东等省为主。柞蚕属完全变态昆虫,一个世代经卵、幼虫、蛹、成虫4个发育阶段,仅幼虫期取食,以蛹越冬。柞蚕卵在室内加温孵化,幼虫则通过人工管护下放在野外柞树上任其自行觅食生长、吐丝结茧。同时加强管理,防止鸟、兽危害,并及时采茧。柞蚕的主要病害有:柞蚕核型多角体病(柞蚕脓病)、柞蚕微粒子病、空胴病、柞蚕寄蝇病(蝇蛆病)和线虫病等。应通过严格检验,及时淘汰病蚕、病蛹、病蛾。进行卵面和蚕室柞蚕生活史蚕具消毒,施用化学药剂和选育抗病品种等方法防治。柞蚕生活史柞蚕蛹期的保护层(内含蛹体)称柞蚕茧,蚕业上供缫制柞蚕丝用。柞蚕蛹可供食用,残渣可作鱼、畜、禽的饲料。茧呈椭圆形,雌茧和秋茧稍大。春茧淡褐色,秋茧深褐色。主要由茧层、蛹体、蜕皮(蛹的外壳)组成。茧层约占鲜茧重量的8%~12%,因受排出的消化管内容物浸润而变硬,影响茧丝的解舒。茧丝平均一个重0.4~0.5克;茧丝长一般700~800米;茧丝纤度平均为5.6旦。茧层重和茧层率高,则出丝多,经济价值高,收购柞蚕茧时常以此作为评茧的主要依据。用柞蚕结茧时吐出的丝缕加工成的纤维称柞蚕丝,是织造柞丝绸的原料,在工业和国防上也有重要用途。柞蚕茧丝由两根平行的扁平单丝并成,其主要成分为丝素和丝胶。丝素白色半透明,有光泽,约占85%;丝胶淡褐色,约占13%;此外还有灰分、色素等,约占2%。缫丝时把几个柞蚕茧的茧丝抽出,借丝胶粘合而成柞蚕丝。柞蚕丝手感柔软有弹性,耐热性良好,温度高达140℃时强力才减弱,耐湿性亦强。绝缘、强力、伸度、抗脆化、耐酸、耐碱等性能均优于桑蚕丝。但织物缩水率大,生丝不易染色。
