Alu序列分子式:CAS号:性质:又称Alu家族。是散在分布于哺乳动物基因组中的、含量最大的中等重复序列。由于序列中含有限制性内切酶Alu I的切点(AG↓CT)而被命名。有种族特异性,但同源性很高。人Alu序列占人基因组3%~6%,重复30万~50万次,平均每5kb就有一个。人Alu序列长300bp(碱基对),由两个130bp的重复序列间隔——31bp的插入序列组成,两侧翼各有一与转位因子序列相似的7~21bp正向重复序列,表明Alu序列是一种可转移的成分。由于Alu序列有种族特异性,克隆人基因时,用人Alu序列制备的探针可鉴定人基因的存在。发现在hn RNA中Alu序列较多而在mRNA中极少,说明其可与邻近基因一起转录,然后在RNA加工过程中切除。
