王世杰王世杰（1891～1981）中国国民党政府高级官员。湖北崇阳人。字雪艇。早年曾就读于湖北优级师范理化专科学校及北洋大学采矿冶金学系。武昌起义后辍学南下，任湖北都督府一等秘书。1912年同盟会改组为国民党时，受命组建国民党湖北支部，任组长。后因湖北军政府与袁世凯勾结，即脱离政府去武昌创办《经济杂志》。1913年考入英国伦敦大学政治经济学院。1917年入法国巴黎大学研究国际公法。巴黎和会时，被旅欧同学会推为代表，往见出席和会的中国代表，阻止签约。1920年春毕业，获法学博士学位。同年冬回国，任北京大学教授，后兼法律系主任。1927年南京国民政府成立，任法制局局长兼海牙国际仲裁所裁判官。1928年10月南京国民政府实行五院制，12月成立立法院，受聘为首任立法委员。1929年任武汉大学校长。1933年出任教育部长。抗日战争爆发后，任军事委员会参事室主任、国民参政会秘书长，后为国民参政会主席团七主席之一。曾两度兼任国民党中央宣传部长。1945年8月任外交部长，与苏联签订《中苏友好同盟条约》。1949年赴台湾，曾任“中央研究院”院长、“长期发展科学委员会”主任委员等职。
