分散体  一种或多种物质分散在另一种物质中的分散体系,如水滴分散在空气中形成云雾,颜料分散在油中形成油漆或油墨。被分散的物质叫做分散相,另一种物质叫作分散介质。胶体指高度分散的分散体,即胶态分散体。胶体中分散的质点很小,其大小至少在一个线度上处于1纳米至1微米的范围内,此即胶体质点。显然,分散体的含义较之胶体更为广泛。    胶体质点可以由许多分子组成,在分散的质点与介质之间有相界面存在,即为相胶体(溶胶),它是热力学不稳定的多相体系。若一个分子的大小已合乎胶体质点的标准,则形成分子胶体(大分子溶液),它是热力学稳定的均相体系。在液体介质中,胶体质点也可由若干小的两亲分子(由亲水的极性基团和亲油的碳氢链组成的分子)缔合而成,即为缔合胶体(超过一定浓度的表面活性剂溶液),也属热力学稳定体系。    按照分散相与分散介质的亲合程度来分类,相胶体属于疏液胶体,也称不可逆胶体,必须用人工加工方法才能形成;分子胶体和缔合胶体属亲液胶体,也称可逆胶体,在适当介质中能自动形成。    范围更为广泛的分散体可按分散相与分散介质的聚集态进行分类(见表)。
