甾族化合物甾族化合物steroid环戊烷并全氢菲类化合物的总称。又称类固醇。这类化合物由于含有4个环和3个侧链,故用一象形字“甾”为其中文名,总称甾族化合物。广泛存在于自然界。很多甾族化合物具有特殊生理效能。例如,激素、维生素、毒素和药物等是重要的生物调节剂。甾族化合物具有环戊烷并氢化菲(称为甾核或甾体)的环系结构。在C13和C10上各有一角甲基,C17上有一个侧链或含氧基团。甾族分子的4个环处于同一均等平面,甾族环系可以是完全饱和的,或在不同位置含有不同数目的双键。某些甾族的A环和B环含有一个、两个或三个双键(芳环)。甾族化合物失去角甲基或环缩小时,称为降甾族化合物,角甲基换为乙基或环扩大时,称为高甾族化合物,甾环裂开时,称为开环甾族化合物。构成甾族骨架的原子除碳原子外,还有其他原子时,称为杂环甾族化合物,如氮杂、氧杂、硫杂、硅杂、磷杂、硒杂和碲杂甾族化合物。图片甾族化合物按其基本碳架结构,可分为以下几类(见表)。也可依据其生理性质并结合考虑结构分为下列几大类,甾醇、胆酸类、甾族皂苷、强心苷元、蟾蜍素、甾族激素和甾族生物碱等。C10—、C13—、C17—表示甾体母核10、13、17位上的取代基。表:甾族化合物分类甾族化合物的生物合成途径与萜类化合物等有密切关系。在生物体内,乙酸在酶作用下经过法尼醇焦磷酸酯的头,头相接可形成角鲨烯,再经角鲨烯的2,3-环氧化物的环化,可生成羊毛甾醇。羊毛甾醇在体内再经过一系列转化即形成胆甾醇和性激素等甾族物质。甾族化合物可从天然资源分离、提取和纯制;也可通过甾族的部分合成和全合成制取。
