烟草甲  窃蠹科昆虫的 1种。广布世界各国。在中国主要分布于淮河以南地区。除为害烟草、香烟、雪茄、植物性药材外,还为害干果、干菜、干鱼、饼干、种子、植物标本、图书、档案等,食性较杂。    烟草甲的成虫体长约3毫米。卵圆形,黄褐与红褐色,有光泽。披黄色毛,背面隆起,复眼大,黑色,触角11节,锯齿状。前胸背板腹面窄、由前向后成弧形,与腹部几乎垂直。头隐于前胸下。鞘翅刻点细小,不排列成行。足短,跗节5节(见图)。    幼虫蛴螬型。长约4毫米,乳白色。头与复眼黄褐色,体覆刚毛。足4节,端节跗弯爪。    1年发生3~6代,气温较高的地区为7~8代,寒冷地区为1~2代。以幼虫越冬。    成虫不取食或仅取食液体。在傍晚与夜间或高温潮湿时四出飞翔,非常活跃。常在烟叶收获后产卵于烟叶的中脉或皱褶与缝隙中,也产于纸烟的两端,但不产于田间的烟叶上。孵化的幼虫对被害物咬成潜孔。
