相思樹相思樹科目豆科常綠喬木別名臺灣相思、相思仔、香絲樹原產地原產恆春半島,是台灣主要的造林樹種之一,全島低海拔山區普遍可見有毒部位;中毒症狀種子誤食會造成頭痛、噁心、腹痛、心跳加快,甚至死亡。形態描述或特徵相思樹是台灣早期最重要的薪炭材。由葉柄膨大而成的假葉狹長光滑,略彎曲,有清楚的5~7條縱向平行脈;頭狀花序金黃色的球形小花在5、6月間盛開,生於葉腋,花萼鐘形,花瓣4片,雄蕊多數。莢果深褐色,表面平滑,約手指長,內藏種子5~8粒。相思樹的根系非常發達,又能耐風抗旱、適應貧瘠地,是綠化荒山、保護水土的良好樹種。相思樹幼樹或小苗可以見到它真正的葉(二回羽狀複葉);長大以後,真正的葉消失,全部變成鐮刀狀的假葉。相思樹的木材可供製枕木、坑木及農具,更供作薪炭及種植為行道、園景樹;它的嫩芽可以治跌打損傷,沒想到吧?
