密封密封seal防止工作介质从机器(或设备)中泄漏或外界杂质侵入其内部的一种措施。起密封作用的零部件称为密封件,又简称为密封。较复杂的密封,特别是带有附属系统的,称为密封装置。密封不良会降低机器效率、造成物质浪费和污染环境。易燃、易爆、剧毒、腐蚀性、放射性物质泄漏会危及人身和设备的安全。环境中的气、尘、泥、水侵入机器内部会污染工作介质,使轴承、齿轮等零件过早磨损报废,或者影响产品的纯度。密封的种类很多。根据密封面的运动情况可分为静密封和动密封。机械(或设备)中相对静止的结合面(密封面)间的密封称为静密封;相对运动的结合面间的密封称为动密封。根据密封面的结合情况可分为接触式密封和非接触式密封。借密封力使密封面相互靠紧、接触或嵌入以减少或消除间隙的密封称为接触式密封;密封面间预留固定的装配间隙,无需密封力压紧密封面的密封称为非接触式密封。一般来说,接触式密封比较严密,因受摩擦磨损限制,适用于密封面线速度较低的场合;非接触式密封与此相反,严密性较差,适用于较高速度。几乎全部静密封都属于接触式密封,而动密封既有接触式又有非接触式。对密封的基本要求是严密、可靠、寿命长,结构紧凑、简单,制造维修方便。大多数密封件为易损件,应保证互换性,实现标准化、系列化。
